You want to add them to the neck in the bass, not replace the neck with block inlay neck, right?
I’m with you, love the look of block inlays.

They do a detailed explanation of how the DW pickups differ in this review, with comparisons between the DW pickups (aka 80’s EMG pickups) and the current ones.

Re: Show me your Spector basses
Great collection Paulo! I love your natural finish LX (as I told you before :D ) Which of your collection is your fave Spector?
Thanks Andrew!
It's hard to pick a favorite but if I've had to choose it would be the white one. It has early 80's EMGs that sound amazing.
Re: Show me your Spector basses
I don't need the low B for any of the music I currently play but playing the low B on a multiscale is VERY satisfying. I have a Dingwall NG 4 string which is such a good bass. so much definition to each note, lightweight, stays in tune for weeks, adapts to pretty much any music/amp/pedals really ...

That is cool. I'm glad they brought back the original headstock design.

Hi Andrew!

Andrew! LONG time no speak. How are you? Hope all is well. :D
I own 3 Spectors. The first one is a 1994 Euro NSCRFM. Bought it at least 20 years ago.
The next two I only bought within the past 2 years, a 2024 NS Ethos and a 2022 NS Dimension 5, my 2nd fanned fret 5 string. I'm slowly building ...

Show me your Spector basses
I've been down a bit of a Spector bass rabbit hole recently. I know we have some Spector fans here. Show me your Spector basses! I want that lefty Spector eye candy.

Did you try putting baking soda in the case? Shake out a good coating throughout the case, leave it for 24 hours and vacuum out.
I've had this issue with old basses before, getting stank off them can be a challenge.

I got one of these when they first came out too. Especially for the price, they're really cool basses. I enjoy playing mine a lot and really like how it sounds.
Great that they're selling for bargain prices now. I'm tempted to get one to refin. I like having the gold finish but it'd be nice to ...

Re: Just stop, Japan
It seems like nonsense but I read an article about items on amazon selling for extra high prices, apparently its just people playing odds in a market with so many buyers. They're posting for "that guy" who'll go online and just buy without seeking the best price and apparently it can be a successful ...

I have one of these too and agree with Matt. Killer basses, especially for the price. I own a couple other more expensive hollow body basses but the Casady is my fave of the bunch.

Re: Lakland Joe Osborn
I owned it for a short period of time. I think I used on a handful of session dates and then sold it. Great sounding bass but it had a neck like a pencil.
It was narrower than a standard J?
Yes, the necks on these are very slim. The satin finish might make it feel a bit more slim too. I owned ...
