Epi Jack Casady- Believe the hype y'all

Post by Matt R. »

Got my Casady a couple weeks ago. I really wasn't expecting this thing to sound as good as it does, but it does. Very versatile, and if you're expecting the typical dubby sound you get from most hollow/semi-hollow basses, look elsewhere. Lots of great sounds courtesy of the rotary impedance switch. Comes stock with a razor sharp nut and the shittiest strings ever, but that's all easily fixed.

I added a Hipshot Supertone bridge and Grover 142C tuners, which are all drop-in replacement parts. And mucho thanks to Billw97 for helping me acquire the bridge!

That's beautiful, Matt. Congrats. Love the hardware too.
I'm on a waiting list for one. We'll see if they get any of them.

I lucked out and caught it at Sweetwater right when it came in, so I snagged the only one they had a couple weeks ago

I have one of these too and agree with Matt. Killer basses, especially for the price. I own a couple other more expensive hollow body basses but the Casady is my fave of the bunch.
