Upgrading the board
In an effort to combat the AI crawler scourge I've upgraded the board to the latest version of phpBB. Unfortunately that meant having to ditch the 'style' that governed the look and feel of the board. I'll try to get it back to a semblance of how it used to look over the next little while but I ...

Re: Active topics?
Should be good to go now. The issue was due to the upgrade. In the newer version of the board software you have to explicitly specify which forums to include in the activity feed. I've added them all.
Let me know if you guys run into any more issues.

Re: HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!
BTW, does everyone still want a gig calendar? The reason I ask is that adding it will involve upgrading the forum software to the latest version. This will mean me having to take down the board for maybe 10 minutes or so at some point.

Re: We will be adding a gig calendar
It's coming along slowly... I'll try to update with an ETA when I have one. This forum software is nice and shiny and new, which means people are racing to re-build all the addons and mods that exist for previous versions.

HA, just listen to a Shellac record... that'll pretty much sum it up.

Go Blue Ray. HDDVD is officially dead. Both WB and Netflix have dropped the format.

Re: What rare goodies are on your pedalboard?
Yeah, I use a Fodera Preamp pedal (discontinued), SIB Fatdrive (discontinued, though I hear they were planning on making them again), and sometimes a Budda Phatman. I also absolutely love the Reverend Drivetrain II for guitar and bass.

Re: My name is Andrew, and I'm a distortion pedal addict
MysticBoo, if you can find a Budda Phatman (they stopped making them) grab it ASAP... that's one of the nicest tube pedals ever, hands down. They have two guitar models which are also great, but the bass version is the proverbial shit.

Re: My name is Andrew, and I'm a distortion pedal addict
I also am a distortion pedal addict... sort of. I'm a guitar player (and a righty to boot) but I constantly find myself using bass pedals instead of guitar pedals. Right now my signal chain is Rickenbacker 330 > Fodera model 2000 bass preamp > SIB Fatdrive > Dr. Z Delta 88 > '72 Hiwatt 4x12. I keep ...

Haven't grabbed the record yet, just been listening to what they have online. Touch and Go is putting that record out...

Re: Whatcha listening to?
I've been really digging this Italian band Uzeda. They remind me of Shellac in all the right ways (plus their new album was recorded by Steve Albini... that never hurts).

On a somewhat related note, Andrew is slowly making me see the good side of Aluminum necked guitars.
