That's it, if you've been thinking about refinishing your bass body, this will be a great oportunity! There are 57 colors to choose from, they will strip, prep and refinish your bass body for $169.95, how good of a deal is that?? Their finish work is great too. http://www.guitarpaintguys.com/mistint.html
I just shot them an e-mail regarding my Ibanez Iceman kit and also wanted to know if they do any matching headstock and/or back of neck finishing as well. We'll see.
Thanks for the link, Paulo. I think we're all gonna have to start paying you a finders fee for all the neat stuff you uncover.
Thanks guys, finders fee not required! I currently have a American Standard P body being refinished by them, but I paid the regular price for it and it was still cheap... I'll post a pic when I get it back!
Just heard back from then this morning regarding my inquiries. It's not clear to me if the matching headstock is included in the neck painting or not, so I'm awaiting clarification:
Hi Peter,
Thank you for your interest in GuitarPaintGuys. We would be happy to finish your bass!
Pelham Blue is on special for $169.95 for a limited time. ( This is the original vintage color formulation for Pelham Blue - NOT the one they use today.)
We can add a matching headstock face for an additional $75.00.
We can finish the entire neck (bolt on only - everything except the fretboard) for an additional $110.00.
Free Return Shipping to the lower 48 / US Customers is included.
We would just need your bass body and "detached" neck (if applicable) sent for finishing - no hardware or electronics.
Feel free to let us know if you have any additional questions.
Thank you for considering GuitarPaintGuys, and have a great day!
So I ordered. They confirmed that the total would be $279.95 and includes the body and all of the neck including headstock (except fretboard, obviously).
Yeah, I would like to make use of their services as well, but I won't be home to ship the body to them until next month. I hope they have some good colors left at that time.

Here's what my body looks like by now... This is a Fender Am Std body. It's still there but hopefully it'll be shipped soon! The color is a close match to the newer antique olive that only the right handed P-basses have.
How about black? Do you guys think I should get my lefty done in black?
