1969 Sound City Bass Concord spotted nearby

Post by paulo »

I've done some research and barely found anything, the only thing I know is that it's rare and old, anyone familiar with this?
I'm not looking to buy it, just wanted to share the listing as it seems like a cool vintage amp.
There are more detailed pics of the same model here: http://www.chambonino.com/work/soundcity/city7.html

Never ever saw one of these prior to this. It would be most interesting to get some gut shots of the head.

yup, scrolled through that page. I'm just wondering what kind of work the CL listed amp has had done to it ...

I made the mistake of trying an all-tube amp last year.

Big mistake.

My fourth one is en route from Minnesota as I write this.

I wrote to him earlier asking how much he wanted just for the amp, he replied quickly and said $900, also open for trades.
I would really like to give it a try butt like Tim I just got a tube amp too...
Must resist!
Or at least stop by to check it out first hand but that's dangerous!

The blonde tolex is sexy... this would be a great amp for me to play on my blues gigs in small clubs! :)
