These were mentioned here some time ago. Recently saw them on Sweetwater's site and was wondering if anyone had an opinion on them.
Thanks,

I played a mint GB 4 string for sale at NJG&B Center for $499. A little heavier than it looks about 8.25 lbs.
Neck is mahogany and has the typical smooth feel, rolled fingerboard edge that Sires are known for.
The pick up is a piezo but the eq allows for decent tone shaping.
All in all would be a good addition for someone looking for a somewhat double bass tone without
having to haul the doghouse around

Thanks for the reply and the link.
How was the volume unplugged? Just thinking about noodling around the house, not trying to keep up with guitars.

Re: Sire Marcus Miller GB4/5
Uplugged it wasn't any louder than a solid body bass.
It's not designed to function as an acoustic bass and
needs to be amplified to get it's tone.

Re: Sire Marcus Miller GB4/5
I thought that would be the case, no sound hole.
