It might not be worth $1k as a bass, but it's certainly at least possible there is some hardcore Powerman 5000 fan out there who would pay that much for it as memorabilia.

I got some Fender basses, Mike Lull and had tons of other basses. I still have my 1979 Hondo P bass, I use it in worst case scenarios (outdoor gigs when raining, leave it in car all day and gig at night). Gotta admit bass plays very well and best beater bass.
