Questions About a Cabinet Quandary

Hey everyone. I'm currently considering replacing my TC Electronic 212 cabinet which is 400W at 8 ohms ( https://www.tcelectronic.com/Categories ... rans(en|en) ) with an aguilar 212 cabinet which is 500W at 4 ohms ( https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail ... 8AEALw_wcB ).

I love the TC, but I was hoping that the 4 ohm Aguilar cab (they also make an 8 ohm version of that cab) would utilize more power/volume from my Darkglass Microtubes 900 head. The plan would be to continue to use a single 212 cab with the Darkglass head.

So would I be making a significant upgrade if I got the 4 ohm Aguilar, or would it be more or less a lateral move in terms of power and volume? I'm also hoping I could use the 4 ohm Aguilar in rooms that I would normally use my Ampeg 410HLF.
