60's Sound Electronics head

Post by paulo »

Interesting listing.
From the seller:
(Head only) 60'sTube bass amp by sound electronics NYC.
Sound electronics was a company in the 60's that I read was an offspring of a early ampeg employees line of amps that went on to later become peavey.
This use to be a combo but when I got it mice were using the lower part of the amp that had an in closed back as a condo so I took the amp and discarded the box which was a total loss.I built a cab for the amp.
I'm not sure of the wattage but it has 2 power and 2 preamp tubes.
It gets loud,it probably sounds good with guitar too, everything works.
It has volume, bass ,treble ,on and off and polarity switches and an jack on the front for an extension cab.it only has a two prong plug.
