Bart P4 sized 6-string cover in Bloodwood. I'll confess, making covers from Bloodwood is not an encouraging activity thanks to its disposition to tear out with even the slightest opportunity. Currently over 50% of the covers started don't make it to the place where the rear side cavity is hollowed out. That's a lot of wasted time and materials

Thanks! making pickups is strangely rewarding; different from the joy of finishing a well endowed bass, but equally satisfying

I lose count at 5 (I blame the public school system). How many strings is that?

Also, it's incredibly gorgeous!

our new winder is working out nicely. she's attentive to details and has brought several solid improvements for streamlining the workflows in obtaining consistency from coil to coil for a given design.

that's a lot of time at the winder this week to get these ready for wiring up, assembly (splits), potting, and packing into retail packaging before shipping off to a couple builders and a reseller
