Nice P bass. It cracks me up how some list a year earlier than serial number when in fact it's probsbly far later. FYI: non original case. Still a nice bass especially if it's really all original.

Yep.... As I expected. And late 70's early 80's Fender's shipped with the plastic Fender Cases with red lining.

Still could be a good bass if the neck is straight and no twisting or ski jump.

I had an '80 P bass witch a C+++++ sized neck profile. Felt like holding the barrel of Albert Pujols' bat. I'd check the neck size if I were to buy any late 70's early 80's P bass again. Just sayin' ...
