I am way overdue posting my gigging board. Note that the Lehle mixer on the top right will be removed in the near future. The whole board will be re-done to accommodate delay and dirt.
I'm totally over the moon with the Waza chorus. if you do any 80's/New Wave music at all, you probably need one

I'll have to try the Dimension C, you're the second bass player I've seen using it.

Time for another update.

Moved a few pedals around, removed the Joyo compressor, added a tc electronic 3RD Dimension chorus and reinstated the Boss tremolo instead of the CKK electronics tremolo.
Yellow switch caps before and after the noise gate, the black ones are in the noise gate FX loop... Not really a necessary or useful update, done just because I can.

Upgraded to the deluxe, and have the Rodenberg and Mr Black going into channel B. The noise gate used to be underneath.

Ha ha yeah. It holds a LOT of damn songs and the screen is easy to read, that's why I like it. And it's no longer branded as an Apple product, so it's a little cheaper now. This is my third of the exact same model.

I used to have a King Kong sized pedal board years ago when I was doing a piano/bass/drums thing as my main gig. But over the past 10 years I've been hitting it pretty old school with a straight ahead rock band. So I pared down to just a tuner and amp channel changer. With the Fender Super Bassman 300 that was all I used for a long time. For smaller gigs and - as a back up - I use a Mesa D800. So I would swap the channel changer for an overdrive/distortion when I used that amp. Then I was given a Mesa Bass Prodigy to use as backline on an EU tour and fell in love with the way it sounded. Especially with an Xotic BB Bass Preamp. THEN... one of our guitar players quit right before a tour so I started using an 8 string (octaves) bass to fill in the blanks on a bunch of songs. Someone suggested I try a rotary speaker simulator to get an organ-esque sound, which I did, and it was ON! So now, after all these years, I put a board back together. Albeit a very small one.
Just the aforementioned Xotic BB, Boss TU-3 tuner, Boss RT-20 Rotary thing and a DOD Mini Expression pedal. There's a One Spot CS-6 hiding underneath for power. This is the setup for the Mesa amps. With the Fender I swap out the BB for a channel changer. (The OD channel on that thing is enough on it's own.) Et voila! (The reason the exp pedal cord is so long is because it was the shortest TRS cord I could find. I'll find a shorter one with right angle ends eventually.)

Nice!
I like simple as well. 95% of functionality of my board is in the tuner and the VT Bass. I've been thinking about having the VT Bass modded by Putnam Guitars to add aux in / phones out. Then get rid of everything else, throw batteries in the tuner and VT Bass, and velcro them to a small sheet of plastic.
Or look into one of those fancy new PSA 2.0s.....

I finally got the modified VT Bass DI from Putnam Guitars. It took two months and a couple of threats, but I did get it, and it works well. So if I want to grab something small for practice on the go, I can pop the VTBDI and play along with music through headphones under battery power. The rest of the time it lives on here:

Finally after almost a year - a new update.

Gone: tc electronic shimmer and chorus, rat clone, Mooer LoFi, tuner (I prefer clip-on tuners).
Back: CKK tremolo, Chowny Fuzzster.
New: MuTron Micro-Tron IV, Boss Multi Overtone.
Moved some things around on the board, not in the chain.

And here's my pedalboard-mini on the road with me this past weekend:

blablas, what's your opinion of the Micro-Tron? I've thinking of picking up one of those, but I already have a Iron Ether Xerograph Deluxe and was wondering if they cover too much of the same territory.

I can only compare it with the MXR bass envelope.
The Micro-Tron is more in your face and brutal than the MXR. I've toyed around with this Micro-Tron for a few weeks now and think the MXR sounds a little bit too nice and polite.

Hi blablas. Do you use any dedicated buffers (at start and/or end) or are there enough buffered pedals in the chain to compensate for any signal loss?

There are enough buffered pedals, as far as I know all the Boss ones are and probably a few others as well. Never experienced signal loss with this board.

Makes sense. Thought I’d ask. And yes, all the Boss ones have a great industry standard buffer since the dawn of time.

This is all I am working with at the moment; not just my entire pedal board, but my entire rig:

FYI, Tim, we have the same headphones!
