I use different boards in every band I play in so I don't have to lug a giant board to cover the needs of multiple bands. This is the one I put together most recently.
It was actually wired up for me by Revelation Cables, who did a great job.

A few new pedals, retired some and moved some to other positions on the board.
Also replaced most of the EBS patch cables with the newer version EBS patch cable. Had some problems with bad contact at several positions in the chain a few months ago. Hopefully the new version will behave better, they have gold plated plugs so should be more reliable than the older nickel plated plugs.

I found that after about 6 months of hard use, the screws holding my board together were getting really loose and in some cases fell off before I could tighten them (which was hard with the pedals installed). I wrote to the manufacturer and he sent me wing nuts which are much easier to adjust.

Now you explained it I understand exactly what you are asking.
No issues with nuts or screws working themselves loose, my board is primarily used for fun at home so doesn't get moved about a lot.

It's just a dirt cheap board that I modified a little bit here and there.

The ever-changing board!

Reinstated the TC Alter Ego delay - after recently having replaced it by the EQD Ghost Echo on the board, I missed it. To create a open position I removed the TC Mimiq mini which didn't get much use anyway.

Also worked out the order I like with all the delays, revebs and shimmers.
The order is: TC Fluorescence (shimmer), EH Canyon (shimmer), EQD Afterneath, EQD Ghost Echo, Boss DD-7 (reverse mode), TC Alter Ego, Boss RV-6.

New: Boss CE-2w chorus and Boss TE-2 Tera Echo.
Given I'm somehow always looking for the CE-2 sound (I once had) in a chorus I decided to order CE-2w. It sounds almost exactly as I remember it, the built in CE-1 is a big added bonus!

The TC Fluorescence (shimmer reverb) was removed to make way for the CE-2w, I prefer the EHX Canyon shimmer anyway, also moved several pedals around to put the new pedals where I want them in the chain. Reinstated the RAT clone again (it has something the other dirt pedals don't have), removed the Mooer wah for this, this wah is lots of fun to toy around with but has no real practical use.

I've been using the TC Spectracomp for several weeks now but ditched it again, I don't like the 'one knob controls everything' approach.
With the Toneprint editor you can change basically everything you can think of but I can't get it to work the way I want it to (subtle compression for looper use). There are way too many parameters you can change, the volume is also too high with the default Toneprint as by the way are most other Spectracomp Toneprints! (much louder in the on position than the off, I like my pedals to be equal in volume, on or off.)
Put my old JoYo Dyna Compressor back in place of the Spectracomp, with only three knobs this one gives me more and simpler control for what I need than the seemingly simple/'versatile under the hood' adjustable Spectracomp.

Rearranged the complete small board and moved the tube guitar amp switch pedal to the top of the amp.

The wild card is my Meatsmoke pre. The thing is GIANT, so the size board I will need depends on whether or not I include it.

But this is the third time I've bought a Meatsmoke pedal, so I should probably just resign myself to keeping it and quit wasting my energy

I'm loving the Le Bass Two Notes. I bought it because I was having a bad day and someone listed in cheap. It's a shame I let the marketing jargon turn me off to it for so long. It's an incredibly functional preamp.

Question: where in the chain do you use compression? I like it better after the Le Bass than before.

My compressor is also after the LeBass. The compressor is at the end of the chain in the effects loop of my noise gate. All my pedals that are potentially noisy or can give peaks are in this loop.
Experimented in the past with the compressor before or after the LeBass and liked it better after, but more often than not when I use the LeBass the compressor will be off.

The compressor is wonky because my patch cables weren't long enough. Will have to order longer ones. I might also get a noise gate since the high-gain channel of the Le Bass gets wicked buzzy and hummy, especially in my office where I practice most often (EMI nightmare).

The BeatBuddy is also a new toy. Pretty fun so far, and not too tough to set up.

I had a running list of about 15 reverbs/delays I was working through and ranking based on sound demos and features. But once I saw how much space I had to work with, the decision made itself. I love it when that happens!

I think I have just enough space left for a noise gate, and possibly a mini looper.

Yes, but what makes it really handy is that is has a ton of beats (and drum kits) preprogrammed.

Pretty intuitive, too. One click to start a song, one click to add a drum fill, long click to transition to the next section (e.g., verse to chorus), and two clicks to stop the song.

You can get additional beats online. The have a Song Matcher where you can type in a song or artist and get a suggestion to use a preprogrammed beat at a certain tempo (for example, STP - Wicked Garden works well on the Rock 2 beat at 78 bpm). Not a huge library, though.

They also have sequences that other folks have uploaded. I downloaded one, but I can't remember what it is at the moment, but it worked.

They also have premium libraries you can buy. I got Most Popular Covers vol. 2 and have been working on Crazy Little Thing Called Love. It's pretty good!

So yeah, it's been a fun practice tool and nice alternative to playing along with .mp3s.

Two and a half months since my previous update, not much happened in that period of time.
Only thing I did was swap positions between the EarthQauker Devices Afterneath and Ghost Echo.

Today I finally added a new pedal, a Darkglass Microtubes X, the Chowny Fuzzster had to make way for this one.
De EQD Westwood into the microtubes X is fantastic!!

Finally another update on my board, It's been a while.


What has changed?
- EQD GhostEcho is placed further down the chain, gives the best result before all the modulation effects.
- Modified the layout on the small board.
- Two new power supplies under the hood. Harley Benton ISO-1 Pro and ISO-2 Pro. The ISO-2 was chosen due to the need for 12 Volt with the Two Notes LeBass and the DG Microtubes X.
- Thanks to these new power supplies I could ditch a HB Junior and a few wall warts. Each pedal has its own power socket now - no more fiddling with daisy chains.
- Two new mini pedals, HoTone EKO en Tape EKO.
- TC Fluorescence back from pseudo retirement.
- Some new cables here and there.
- Some Rockboard light dampening caps for the pedals that have a spotlight for the on/off indication (all Earthquaker Devices and the MXR Envelope).
