I had one. You either love or hate that neck. I despised it. In '84 I traded it in for a MIJ Jazz bass, and that was the end of that.

The guard is warped. It My '94 ATK had a warped guard, too. The guard hasn't shrunk because it's not made of nitrocellulose.

The guard and finish look original to me.
