Re: 1973/74 Fender Jazz bass

Sorry, missed the pic with 4 bolt plate above.
I never heard / saw a 3 bolt in 1973 especially on a lefty.
Some 74's still had the 4 bolt and it later transitioned to 3 bolt.
I had a mid 74 Lefty with 4 bolt plate also.

REMEMBER Fender used parts in the factory to build lefty so the dates are all ...

Re: 1973/74 Fender Jazz bass

Is this a 4 bolt or 3? The transition from 4 bolt to 3 bolt w/adjustment screw was approx 1975-ish on lefty basses I have seen.

Re: 70's Ibanez Jazz Bass MIJ

This bass was listed start @ $630 and didn't get bids. they lowered it to this starting price.

I might have owned this one in the past but can't locate pics to match. It does look like the one I owned tho.

Re: Mono Dual

I have been using MONO M80, M80-Dual for well over a decade + Vertigo (my fav single bag). Have owned multiple of each gigbag.
They are up to par for support indeed.
MTD, Spector, etc fit in these bags. They use to make them shorter but current are plenty long.
No issues with Lefty basses and have ...

Re: Schecter J-5 $599 at SamAsh

I have this bass in a 5 string. They are quality instruments for the price. I replaced the stock pickups with EMG J5's and routed for a battery. Much needed upgrade.

Re: Fender Japan Precision Bass Medium Scale 32" 1986

I owned 2 of these back in the late 80's. One had a flamed maple neck. I wish I still had it. That was super rare. Yea, they were only offered 85/86-ish then disappeared. They are as listed 32" scale and smaller body/pickguard. I have NEVER seen a smaller fitted case like this. Mine were in normal ...

Re: Sandberg California II TM5 Superlight

^^^ you will love this bass. They balance great, the pickups sound really good and the 2 band pre is transparent and clear.
I'm waiting on a pick guard and will be reassembling it. I'll post a pic of mine later.

Re: Sandberg California VS4

Sandberg basses are underrated here in the USA. Popular in Europe. You don't hear much about them but ill tell you... They are really good basses for the price.
I have a California II TM2 5 (Dual MusicMan pickups) with Maple board and black blocks in a 5er and it is a really good bass. They are on ...

Re: Mike Lull MV5 Good price

It is listed somewhere else. I saw it recently. That's my old bass. It was my first Lull and I got another following in Piano black with newer shaped neck. This neck was on the bigger side and large at the nut. I think it's a 2010 model. Came from Atlanta Bass Gallery originally. Not sure where ...

Re: 59 Fullerton Red P Bass

I saw this listing a bit ago. What a gem. I think it's the earliest I have seen. Only this and 1960's P basses in lefty. The price is a lot but its a rare bass... for the wealthy collector.

That looks like the Dunable Flying V (same silverburst) I saw at the 2023 NAMM show. They will also do lefty at no extra charge.

This reverb listing is a satin finish. Paulo's pic was a gloss finish. Never seen a satin finish Jazz bass from G&L.

It’s been up for a while actually. I tried to meet up with the seller over the Christmas break when I was in Pittsburgh but our times didn’t meet. If it had a maple board I would have been all over it.

I had a Fender 1974 Jazz bass that was just like this. Fender Logo and r with no patent. I guess sometimes they cut them off before applying.

Re: 1975 Fender Jazz Bass

A 4 bolt neck on a '75? I don't think I've ever seen a 4 bolt neck that late. I though most were 3 bolt by the end of '74.

Yup, I had a few. 4 bolt were on 75 and switched late 75/76 on some. Remember, lefty parts were sometimes sitting around the warehouse until an order was requested. It's ...
