How cool! I hope you love it!
How is the intonation with those strings? I am curious if LaBella, who obviously know what they are doing, had legitimate concerns about the intonation, or if it turned out not to be a problem.

New modified bass day!
Yesterday I received my modified Ken Bebensee lefty 23" scale five string fretless uke bass. This bass was initially built for use with Pahoehoe silicone rubber uke bass strings and only had a single piezo pickup by open-To-Source Sensors™ and preamp by Audere.
During the initial build I had asked ...

I was also considering going with a 2x10 with a 1x15.
I'm in Los Angeles area. Still available.

Re: Worth having a cheap bass for travel?
Although not cheap and definitely on the weird side, I've been intrigued by the Wing Bass Classic for travel. They are available lefty at no charge, use regular bass strings (although you have to cut half of it away), very small and the single cutaway design makes them much more durable than a ...

Re: “Micro” Scale Basses
I've been using a Gold Tone fretless solid body electric micro bass as my main instrument for a couple of years now. I enjoyed it so much that I bought a second which I shipped to a luthier as a model to build a custom hand made 5 string fretless uke bass. A fellow lefty drummer friend of mine also ...

Re: My current rig
Penguin, are the flatwound steels a higher tension than the usual rubber strings? For me, the hardest part about playing these things is the tension.
They're definitely higher tension and don't move around as much as the rubber strings so you can play faster. I did worry that the different ...

Re: My current rig
Are there any other string options available for this model?
D'Addario makes flatwound steel strings which fit the GT. I tried them and made a post with photos somewhere on this forum. They are substantially narrower than the rubber strings so the nut would have to be replaced. I tune to D a lot ...

My current rig
I got another Gold Tone ME Bass lefty fretless. The new one has the updated preamp with separate bass and treble which makes a HUGE difference from the first one which had only the single tone knob. So I sent back the first one to be retrofitted with the new preamp as well and just got it back today ...
