I'm no Fender fan, and I don't like four string basses. But I saw this bass on the bay a year or two ago and concidered selling one of my kids for this bass. This is the most yummy lookin 4 string bass I ever seeeen !!! It just has that look that if you got it in your hands you wouldn't put it down for hours and it would crush an amp. I think I sharted myself!!!!!

Interesting, that's an exact duplication of a factory-standard Fender American Deluxe Precision, but in a different colour, with gold hardware and lefthanded and at almost three times the price!

Beautiful, yes, but a real custom shop creation? I doubt it. Maybe it's a custom shop neck, but it's been my experience that Fender won't venture outside the norm for custom creations when it comes to lefties. The neck plate design is unlike any Fender design I've ever seen also. I'd like to at least body/neck stampings and the accompanying certificate of authenticity.

It's on the American Deluxe basses. This neck plate was probably taken from an American Deluxe Jazz Bass, which is the only Am. Dlx. offered lefthanded.

They're sleeker than a standard Precision, with deeper cutaways, smaller headstock, lightweight tuners and 18V preamp.

Very nice bass but at that price, your better off getting a vintage Fender. I have a few basses for sale going up soon.... hint.... nudge... !
