These are aesthetically very cool looking with a great playing neck and they're tonally similar to a Stingray despite being hollowbody, though an upgrade in preamp would definitely improve it as the preamp's the weakest component:

I'd be very tempted to add a neck pickup to this bass. I like the looks otherwise though.

Very cool, although for a bass of that type I would prefer the pickup to be closer to the Stingray- or even L1000-position and not so close to the bridge.
