Hi,
I am experiencing a quiet, low frequency, hum-like, acoustic buzz, pretty much on all frets of the A string and same notes on the low E and sometimes on D string. It sounds like it is coming from the bridge area overall and sometimes it feels like source is somewhere deep inside the body of the guitar. I tried touching all parts of the bridge, headstock, knobs to no avail. The buzz is also amplified and when I crank up the amp it sounds like I have an overdrive. It seems more audible when playing fingerstyle compared to pickstyle.
Anyone had a similar issue?

Most likely the ground wire got disconnected. It should be fixed in a minute by someone how knows how to solder.

I resently had an odd issue with the A-string on my Ric. Same as you, slight hum, but with a rapid decay with the string sounding somewhere between a mute and sitar. I checked the frets as all positions were doing it. Check the bridge and nothing. Finally checked the pickup clearance out of desperation. Somehow a very very small piece of plating from somewhere had attached itself to the top of the pickup and was in contact with the string! Once removed, all was normal!
