Great color combo and the black hardware is a nice touch.

My Stringray GAS is waning in favor of Kiloton GAS.

I don't suppose anyone here has tried both?

I think if i was to get a Stingray I'd seriously consider that one. It has a lot of class especially with the black hardware.

Yep, owned both

I think the Kiloton is a more comfortable instrument, but I like the voice of the MM pickup better.

Advantage to G&L probably - considering all the different options you can have with the Kiloton in terms of neck profile, body wood, and finish.

But a Stingray is a Stringray is a Stringray...

Thanks!

So kind of everything I suspected. I've become so enamored with my SB-2 that I like the idea of having another bass with the exact same body and neck, just diff pickup config. Would be so casual to switch between the two.

But I worry that I like the Stingray sound better :)

I agree it's a Great Color however if you do a Google Search on "Firemist Gold" you will see there is a difference between "Fenders Firemist Gold" and "Music Man's Firemist Gold".

At first I thought perhaps it was the lighting or the picture however when you do the Google Search you can clearly see there is a difference between manufactures. Again still a great Color, my Mike Lull P is in Firemist Gold and it is very close to Fenders!

Sorry, but not a fan of that particular shade of firemist. It reminds me of the bottom of a litter box!

I think the finish is okay but not something I would like a lot.
Also it may not be for anyone but I really liked the purple finish they have, there was one up for sale and I seriously considered buying it but I couldn't get over having only one pickup by the bridge.
