The photo hosting provider where most of these pictures were placed had some domain name issues, and given I can't edit my older posts I will dedicate a new topic to all of my basses.
Basically (sometimes) edited quotes from my previous topic.
Given the fact most of my pictures were on PhotoF*cket and are gone now, and also after looking through Carmine's collection I think it might be fun to post my collection here as well.
More lefty bass porn!
Starting off with my DIY projects.
The mk1's:

This is the first bass I built in the early 90's with some donor parts from a Hohner B2A. Rebuilt it in 2012.

This was my second built, again early 90 and no donor parts on this one, I made everything myself. Rebuilt in 2011.
The mk2's:

Third built, halfway 90's and rebuilt in 2011.

Fourth built, halfway 90's, rebuilt in 2011.

Started on this one halfway 90's, finished it in 2010.
All the following basses I built between 2010 and 2016
The mk3's:
The mk4's:
The mk5:
My Tribute to Leo Fender:

This one started out its life as a 'quick and dirty' build to see if could do a fanned fingerboard, what pickups to use and if could play on it.

The basses I bought - Most have undergone some sort of customizing (by me).

Squier Precision Bass

G&L Tribute L-2000

BaCH BPB-60 butterscotch

Ibanez ATK (PGBL1)

My first serious bass, I modified the crap out of it over the years.
As you can see I prefer cheap ones, everything that was wrong with them I fixed.

Not while I'm alive! It was already difficult enough to find/build them. Not going te sell them to please some weird left-handed folks.

Well you could possibly take a job customizing someone else's bass or even building them one!
Always nice to check out your stash, you have great taste and talent!

For sure I sure could but I've already got a daytime job I seriously like which pays the bills and leaves me enough leeway to finance all the hobbies. The daytime job is being an instrumentmaker, maintaining, designing and building laboratory equipment at the physics department of the Leiden University.
I'm afraid that once I need to to do this toying around with basses/guitars for a living a lot of the fun way will go away.

Blablas how did you get such clean shots of them did you photoshop them on to a plain background?

I photoshop a clean background on top of my original photo.
This is how most of them will look before editing.

Thanks blablas and then do you trace the perimeter of the guitar?

No, I'm a lazy photo editor. In a nutshell - I select the parts I don't want with the magic wand tool, paste this selection into a new layer on top of the original one, paint bucket fill this selection in the new layer and after that all I need to do is edit a few sections of the edges here and there with a brush and eraser tool.
In reality the background is on top of the original picture.
