I guess they've been broken up for almost 5 years at this point, but I just came across a band called Trampled Under Foot that features not only a lefty bassist, but a lefty guitarist too. Rare indeed:

Re: Trampled Under Foot
I sat in for a band that had a left handed guitarist and left handed drummer for a rehearsal. The manager of the rehearsal studio walked into the room and could not figure out what was different. Normally there is one lefty and several right handed folks but to have everyone left handed was really cool.

Wait, they weren't a Zeppelin tribute band?

One of the bands I played with all of us were left handed. I was the only one that played lefty. It's amazing the number of musicianbobjones2260 wrote:I sat in for a band that had a left handed guitarist and left handed drummer for a rehearsal. that are left handed but play right handed. I've run two to three blues jams a week over the past 12 years and I notice those who are lefties when they sign up. One night the first four people that signed up were left handed, all played right handed.

My old band had lefty drummer who actually set up the kit lefty and played barefoot. Guitarist was lefty but played righty. I am lefty, and girl singer was lefty. Only the steel player was righty.

Re: Trampled Under Foot
I was in a band for a few years playing guitar and the other guitarist also played lefty. The bassist was a righty. I brought some people from my guitar class to the gig and a couple of them said they had a hard time concentrating because the two guitar necks pointing the opposite way was throwing their brains for a loop.

I was wondering the exact same thing. Was expecting a thread on Led Zeppjmuck wrote:Wait, they weren't a Zeppelin tribute band?
I was in a band once with another lefty (guitarist), but he played righthanded SG's upside-down. His main guitar was a walnut Gibson SG Firebrand. He was always curious about my lefty instruments, but couldn't play any of them.
