It is amazing! It's been listed on Ebay a number of times, but it is always makes me stop and go through all the pics and wonder. What's the back story, who found it, where and how, does it play and sound as good as it looks. Hard to imagine!

That's been on Gbase for quite awhile. 13k ... ouch. Looks to be in super condition. Wonder how it sounds?

Not being rich, I'd feel more justified in buying it if I knew I could resell it and not lose too much. Can't say that about this bass at $13K.
Judging the lefty vintage market is tricky, but sometimes I like to look at Ebay sales of lefties and righties. I found this all-original righty 65 Jazz with the same exact neck stamp date. This one sold for $7500:

Except the issue with the nut it looks spectacular. I would have to play it but I could see 7kish for it. Yeah I would love to hear the story behind this one...
