Cool bass. Almost bid on it the other day. This guy hasn't had this long at all. But this new seller seems like a dick. Jeez, what a listing.

I think it's the same seller. I just assumed he was frustrated with the original sale falling through.

Does anyone know anything about these basses by the way? I don't know why, but I'm strangely drawn to this thing.

I've never played a Vantage bass, but my first acoustic guitar was a LH Vantage I bought used, when I was 16, and it was great. I'd still have it today if my 23 year old self knew better.

Looks like it just sold. I would have SERIOUSLY been all over this one if I hadn't just bought a new - to me - Sprinter van. I had a couple of these back in the '80's and they were - IMHO - glorious. My 23 year old self did the same dumb thing and got rid of them in favour of the the hair metal basses that were the rage back then. I know if I had just held onto the double P pickup version I had for a few more years, I would've kept it forever.

Did anyone here grab this? Great deal if you ask me.
Sometimes I think, maybe I'm lucky I'm left handed. If I could play any bass I wanted, my collection would REALLY be out of control.

Check the second comment. It's been relisted with a grumpier description.

I didn't bother to read the fine print at first, but yeah, that's a lot of yelling for a guy with all of four active sales and six ratings.

I owned one of these in like 1986 or 87. It played nicely and I was so proud to own a neck-through bass! I traded it in for a Squier Jazz bass because the guys in the
band I was in didn't think it was rock 'n roll enough... FWIW, they also didn't like my Arbor "Kramer Duke" knockoff.

I'm trying to understand how a jazz is more rock 'n roll than a P/P. The '80s were strange time in music history.

When it first listed I got curious about what a P/P could do, so I went searching for demos. This one is for BC Riches, but well done and still relevant I think:
