Kramer Pbass $150

I have a few Kramers, but they're all older than that - one Japanese Forum III, and three American ones with aluminum necks (the "real" Kramers ) I'm not personally familiar with that model, but:
- A 420S is a "Focus" model, and was made in Japan (by Matsomoku, maybe). It's at least the equal of a Squier P-Bass, and IMO, probably better. So, yeah, I would say it's worth that much; providing it's in good shape. If it's all there, and plays at least decently, almost any bass is worth $150. For that price, you can tinker with it to your heart's content with a clear conscience, too.
- I belong to the Kramer club on TalkBass, and from what other members post about all the various models they own, the general concensus seems to be that any Kramer bass is at least a nice bass. And most are a lot nicer than you'd think they would be. Before they were absorbed by Gibson, Kramer always tried to use high quality hardware and electronics, and were very well made. And for all I know, they haven't changed; no lefties, though..

At the end of the day, though, the only person who can decide it 's worth it to you... is you.

Thanks for sharing what you know about these basses and this one in particular. To me it seemed to be worth this money but wanted to make sure. What i've heard is that most basses built in Japan are of good quality. I was seriously thinking about pulling the trigger on this one but i've just got a different Kramer bass and so far so good! It has no model name on but i was told it's a Baretta. The cool thing about it is that's a neck through bass. Not sure about the specs but i'll look it up!
