do you know the street value on an 83 precision elite? i know you have one so i figured you may know better than i do.
Re: hey peter(pjmuck), or anyone who may have answer
It's difficult to say. I've seen righties go for over $1200 but then again I've seen some offered for under a grand with no bidders. There's one on ebay right now with a BIN of $999 and no takers.
I think generally they're not very sought after basses, though they are pretty rare and excellent instruments IMO. They were the top of the line bass Fender offered back then. The lefties would be much rarer, obviously, so I'd put the value somewhere around $1400-1500.
Did you find one?

It's actually just a regular 83 p. The pics were very poor and I was just going by the white p/ups. That being said, any idea on value for an 83 lefty fender p?

If it's an MIA and in excellent condition, I'd say under a grand, maybe $850-900?
The 80's stuff really hasn't jumped in the market value much...yet.
