Not quite. They are on the "Secretly Canadian" record label - which itself is not actually Canadian - and are from Santa Monica or somewhere near there.

dude, being as I am originally from Montreal eating .45K of back bacon takes less than a minute

The maple syrup might slow me down a tad tho since i am on a diet ...
