I'm pretty sure this now answers what bass is best for metal
Black backgrounds really make black instruments "pop"

I bet $$ thats my old bass. I put Hipshot tuners on it too. All the rest was stock. I had 2 of them identical with hipshot tuners and tuned E-G and B-D. Bill from Hipshot got one of them and sold it I believe. It is a 35" scale bass and really well built and playing instrument. Amazing for a list of $849. I bought em both used for under $300 and played the hell out of them. They sound GREAT as is stock. Jumbo frets.
$599 starting? A little steep but they weren't made very long. Like 2 year.

Yeah, Diamond Series Schecter from that era are great instruments.
The starting bid does seem a bit high, I'm pretty sure I was selling them new for the BIN price.

This seller raised the starting bid to $700.00 with a $1000.00 BIN...

I hope this is not someone from the board because that is some serious inflation.

Dark pics cover up blems. That matt finish is prone to shiny wear just by rubbing your finger on it
