Original '62 righthanded Club Bass body modified to double-cutaway for lefthanded use, with a neck from a '95 reissue and all original Höfner parts. Very nice job, looks unusual but very cool 8-)

Ha! It's ok, I'm safe. I own a fully intact Club too. :)

How is it? It's the only Hohner that I would be interested in having I think.

Well if you've ever played a Höfner violin bass, then you know what the Club is like. The only difference to me is cosmetic. But it's tubby and awesome sounding. Definitely everything you hear on a McCartney track where he used his. Mine plays smooth and easy. Obviously feather light. Doesn't feel as fragile as people often suggest. I've always loved the Höfners I've owned.

Cool. I should try to get my hands on one to test.

They are definitely a one trick pony, albeit with a cool trick. I love the tone.
