5 string quality bass

Simple! I'm looking to spend about $1000 on an American-made left handed 5 string bass. I play a little like George Murray. I have a Carvin 4 string from 1995 I really like but I need that solid B string. I saw someone selling a Stingray and PM'd them. And I thought I'd throw this out there for some feelers. Thanks.
