I love my Stingray5, but can't help looking for a Sterling...

I know of two. A nice one locally (to me) at Chuck Levin's Music Center in DC (Sun Burst/Maple), and one at Southpaw Guitar in Houston. I played both and they were both really good, just not for me.

Yeah I saw the one at Basscentral, but with shipping to Europe, it's too expensive.
I'll try to contact Southpaw Guitars and Chuck Levin's Music Center, thanks!

Hey
Also just saw one at Atomic Music in Beltsville, MD. It is a used/pre-owned bass, natural color, maple neck, black pickguard, good shape. They said officially price was $1099, but indicated willingness to move off the price. Good luck!

Thanks, I've sent them an email!
Basscentral has some pretty cool ones too, but with the shipping costs, they're very high...

Isn't it cheaper than what you would pay in France anyway? Although the currency change rate is not as favorable as it used it for the Euro. I don't remember ever seeing a lefty Sterling in France. Le Gaucher rue de Douai had a few Stingrays in the mid-ninties but no Sterlings.

Atomic Music won't ship it overseas...
Yes Frenchy-Lefty, Sterlings are very hard to find in France, and they're really expensive new. I'm looking for a used one if possible, that's why I avoid Basscentral for the moment.

What are some of the complications of shipping overseas?
Also, what about if something was brought over? I had a friend volunteer once to bring over a Rickenbacker bass from England when he came to visit me. I ended up not doing the deal. Would my friend have had customs problems? This is all so new to me.
