Not for sale to my knowledge but a cool bass nonetheless:

Nice looking bass, and here's a link to Mark White of the Spin Doctors playing it... although I would have liked to have heard him do some straight ahead jazz or walking blues without effects.

Those are awesome basses, and Nikola Adamovic is a really cool guy and an amazing builder. I visited his workshop once, and admired some of his work. He has some unique views concerning the species of wood he uses. He experiments a lot with very unusual woods, and you won't find a whole lot of maple, alder, ash, mahogany, rosewood or ebony in his shop. He also strictly uses either certified woods, woods that have been seized by airport security, or woods from trees cut by the local municipal parks department in his city of Haarlem! This piece of spalted poplar for example, was taken from a local tree:

That is a beautiful combination of woods! Very nice use of grain and bookmarking... I wonder if the red-colored wood is natural, or has been stained...

Talk about a shrewd alternative sourcing method! Wonder if he's one of the prime whistle blowers against Gibson.

I thought wood (or anything else) seized by airport security was destroyed. You would think that if it can't be imported, then nobody should be allowed to use it.

I don't know how he does it, I didn't ask him. But you're right, I thought it was destroyed too. What a waste!

Destroying the wood would compound the problem by utterly wasting it. He must buy it and any proceeds from the sale could be used for further conservation efforts. Just a theory mind you.

That would probably just amount to an 'import duty fee'. The original importer could just as easily pay it and get the wood, which would have no effect on conversation efforts. Just sayin'.
