Has anyone tried those:

They are incredibly attractive and reasonably priced. Didn't PJmuck own one?

No, I own the Legacy Standard 4:

Great bass for the money, super light weight, and the neck's one of the comfiest I've ever played. Dennis's price is around $1150 I believe.

Frenchy what has got into us? I have seen the light with vintage Fender 4 bangers and you concidering a 5 string? :o ....these times are a changing

Go for it! A good B string on a good bass through propper amplification is a thing to behold and felt and can fill up a room with huge deep warm goodness like nothing else.

LOL! Thumb, it is weird indeed but I sometimes have this kind of... "low B itch"...(please note, there is a space between "B" and "itch")

Those are the other 5ers I am thinking about: A (used) Yamaha TRB5 (for some reasons I feel this bass would not fit my personae though), a Carvin SB5000 (I really dig those!), a Warwick Rockbass Corvette Std $$ (I tried a used Rockbass $$ 4 strings recently and I really liked the sound, I can imagine how awesome the German version must sound!).
I just got a little bonus dough from work but I also need to get some studio gear so it's on the balance...

Please Please Please do not buy a RockBass.....Wait for a used GERMAN or maybe a Pro Line Korean Warwick but no China. They need tons of work and you will never play a 5 again.
