Very cool bass. I don't think I've ever seen a lefty Thunderbird. But 12 grand is way too much for me. I don't care who owns it!!!!

WOW, he's actually selling it! I'm not sure that it is quite "Holy Grail" status but it is a rare Tbird for certain.

Don't get me wrong, I love Tom Petersson-- but the fact that he owns it doesn't make it worth more to me-- all it does is make we wonder what a right-handed player is doing with our lefty bass when there's plenty of righties to be had ... I have 2 right-handed ones and I would gladly trade him BOTH of them for it-- guess I'll call and give it a shot ;). Well at least we must thank him for making it available, but IMHO $12 grand = insane.

So what do WE, real live lefty bassists, believe this bass is worth to US- what would you actually be willing to pay for it?

Dear Tom:

So who do we have to thank for the butchering and unnecessary routing of an extra strap button hole so some idiot righty could pretend to be cool like Hendrix when righty T-Birds are readily available to righties, huh? Huh! :x

A year or two ago there was another lefty non-reverse original T-Bird available through We Buy Guitars:

I wonder what it ended up selling for?
