Bought this body, neck and tronics from a guy who is a member here and Talkbass from NY. Great guy and I put a new high mass Fender bridge on it and Audere preamp and case. Anyone here interested let me know I will be willing to work something out. I am saving for a new toy Also anybody have any (constructive) feedback for me on the listing please let me know I tried to be forthcoming anf fair but if I'm out of whack let me know. Looks like a great bass, at a very fair price. If I weren't building another one of my wide 5's right now, I would consider this.

Just kicking tires, what's the weight on that one?

Are the shims glued in? How does the neck join the body at the curved/end of the fingerboard area? Are there gaps? Can you post a clear close up shot of the neck pocket? Thanks!

Weight and neck pocket close ups no problem...I'll get on it in a few hours tonight. Carlos it's on the heavier side just from playing it I would guess around 10 Lb which I know is a problem for most.

I do a have a digi scale for shipping I will post pictures and accurate weight tonight. I will say it feels super solid and sounds great and one thing all of what the Audere can do with every adjustment is usable and sounds great. I always play with preamps and pickup changes and many times active stuff will blow up and color the tone in a bad way. The Audere is subtle and transparent and even all the way up or down or flat it works well with those pickups.

Above is the original link jc575 is the seller. You could ask him more specifics. I spoke with him on the phone and was cool. He said he had a good friend and local tech guy who did the mods to the neck and body. So he bought the KSD new and said the neck went bad and twisted or buzzed all over hence the Warmoth neck he bought new and added that there crazy backwards decal. The guy routed the body for the pickups and look at the bridge pickup it looks factory to me. Under the pickgaurd there was a P pickups first then went for the Nordys so there is routing for both and it's easy to see obviously when you take the pickgaurd off. But all in all the guy did some reasonably good work. The neck I would rather not take but I will if someone needs me too. The neck frm what I was told as I remember has no shims under it just on the one side and looks to be black pickgaurd material and is glued in. the original KSD neck was wide and the bass from what I can tell originally was 20mm spacing and of course the Warmoth is 19mm as it should be for a Fender replacement as I know of. Does the shaping of the end of the neck mesh exactly like it's factory well no but it's not working against anything or gets in the way you can just tell when you give it the old one inspection up close they were done in two different places the neck and pocket but I will get pics up later..Long work day I need a little nap and a vat of coffee when I get up.

Weight is exactly 10 Lb 15.8 Oz so just under 11 Lb... Didn't realize it was as heavy but it is what it is.

Just please take into concideration this isn't a Mike Lull or a Alleva Coppolo so it's sound and tight and dosen't move and doesn't feel bad playing. I'm getting right up on it with a high def digital camera in a Macro setting with flash and it isn't $4,000 either but I wanted provide what you guys are asking at the same time as well as I can.

For me the main thing was it is aligned perfectly as far as strings down the neck and over the pickup poles and bridge and it's damn near perfect I think. Plays goood.

I seen worse gaps at the heal on 70's Fender jazz basses..

The custom shop should put together basses so well! Looks great!
