There's no way I'd pay $800 for that bass... dont get me wrong though, they can sound great and play great. I think you just gotta get lucky though.. My MIM J-bass, which was has a serial number just 800 earlier than this one, only cost me $200 and was great find I think. It's a 2001-2002 model and I love it dearly. Just wish I could play it better
