Ok...
I completely admit that I am a sucker for the "mystique" that surrounds all that is Fodera Bass... the signature sound, impeccable craftmanship, 3-year wait time, MVP artist roster...
But, um... $10K for a plain ash body set neck 4-string?
Keep dreaming!

My friend bought a (righty) Monarch in '84, and his was $900.

So... being that it's the same year and a very simple instrument... if we tack on the lefty upcharge maybe a grand when it was new?

you can see the Ken Smith influence in the neck joint. Anyone have a clue how long Vinnie F worked for Smith?

Geez... that righty is very nice indeed. $900? Not too bad at all. Of course, 1984 dollars were worth what? Ten times more than today's dollars... so there you go... $9000... guess this guy is only a LITTLE high then...
