THIS AD IS TOO FUNNY --ha,ha
retard priced, description dont match the pictures at all

this bass has left the house 3 or 4 times, one was a gig in Malibu, but other than that flight, it has been kept pristine and untouched and in the house.
I guess he broke the string in Malibu, and left it that way all these years?

I'm a pro bassist who's been an active buyer and seller of high-end musical instruments on ebay for over a decade. Bid with confidence, I baby these babies!
except that this unit is "a spare" according to him and I guess you have to put your own set of strings on it. I CAN'T believe someone would post an item 3/4 complete when the price is almost 800 dollars to start.

If this thing gets a bid from someone who has more than 0 feedback points, I'll laugh even harder.

On a separate note, I have a CLASSIC Ford Pinto (only 45% bondo) for sale for $57,000 (firm). You don't see many of these anymore, so it's "very rare" and a "classic". Please PM me if interested.

I'll take it. But only if it has the exploding gas tank.

ya in red ya bastard  I guess I shouldn't be jealous cause I could have had mine painted red.

and a pinto? ewww...to early 70's
I saw a Gremlin, a Pacer AND an AWD-Eagle all for sale at the same time ( some farmer had em in his barn ), but when I saw the ad said "vintage"..I knew that's where he came up with his 83thousand starting price.

The price is ridiculous, and even if it was fair, I'd rather have the Tokai Hard Puncher version P-bass, just because of its name.

I think what makes this bass rare its a 3 string :D

For that price you think he would have put a D string on it.

Gawd.. some people's listings.... If someone bids on this, well, it must be a collector

These were designed to exact specifications of the 1957 P-Bass.. <- Seriously??

Indeed, that's the classic, most sought-after Precision type model by Tokai. The ones that still had the Fender-headstock. Great basses! This one probably is too, but not at that price...

Hi Guys,

Finding this thread made my day.

Let's just say that if you knew this guy, everything makes perfect sense.

Lucky for you, this "pro-bassist" who "gigs in Malibu" is a multi-instrumentalist who really, really, and I mean really, likes himself. Enjoy!
