routing a second cutaway?
hi iam getting a gibson melody maker for free from a friend and its right handed and a single cut model is there any way to route a second cutaway making it a dc model so i could play the higher frets and how much would a luither charge to do this if posible?
Re: routing a second cutaway?
is this a set-neck or a bolt-on?
if it's a set-neck, you're looking at a rather expensive mod since you'd need to unglue the neck from the body prior to making the body mods. i'm guessing the cost to do this could far exceed what you'd pay for a used CIJ P or J
all the best,
