Is it just me, or is the action rediculously high?

That's a 4-string anyway...

But, yeah... I could limbo between that E string and the fretboard.

Frightening.

Sorry Addison, I never looked at the pics. The original title said '5 string', which has since been revised.

I did add "Thumb" but did mention looking for a 5 string. That Thumbs action on eBay is definitely the result of neglect and most likely could be fixed with the turn of the truss rod unless completely broken and I had a Warwick in the past with a broken truss rod and it did just what that neck is doing....Buying used from an unknown or non trustworthy buyer or maybe one that just simply didn’t know can be more expensive than buying new....Thanks for looking out guys! I have never seen a 5 lefty Thumb only a couple 6'rs and a bunch of 4'rs. My love is 5 strings for my own personal consumption. I personally think that low B is like having a whole other instrument built in its so big sounding (on a good bass and amp) ;)

Those Thumb NT 5's are killer. A guy on a Dutch forum has one, I played it once on a forum meeting and loved it!

Keep looking, they do exist!
This one is a fretless NT 5 from 1996 modded with bubinga fret lines a couple of years ago by a local luthier.

Here's my old Thumb NT 5'er...

It's too bad my band never did well enough to afford to hire a personal masseuse to rub the cramps out of my shoulder after holding the neck up for two hours straight... or maybe I would have kept it.

I sold it about 4 years ago on eBay for $1500.

Great basses... it sounded absolutely killer, and I get why some people love them... but, for me, it was an ergonomic nightmare.

" but, for me, it was an ergonomic nightmare "

Yeh I heard that many times too....Maybe I'll have to settle for a Streamer 5 NT ;)

I had a BO Thumb 5 and it wasn't that bad and I didn't even change the tuners to Ultralites on that one before I moved it. The 3/8" Ultralites are a perfect replacement/upgrade and will loose about 9 to 11 Ozs. on the head just from that alone not to mention they are the best tuners I ever used...That's the plan anyway. Rough inside swede leather strap. It's the t-shirt that keeps slipping around the side that bothers me..I guess that's why you look so pissed in all those pictures :D
