Double-bowed neck!

Post by Polymad »

Hi guys, i just recently bought a second-hand Magnus bass and it sounds killer! only problem with it is that the neck is double-bowed (made sure it wasn't warped or twisted). Also, the joint between the heel of the neck and where the body meet was not balanced accordingly.

-The state it was in:
the neck had a front bow from the 24th fret to the 17th fret. There was also a back bow from the 11th fret to all the way up the 1st fret.

-What I've done:
In terms of the joint, i sanded down the heel of the neck till it was balanced and in precise measure in height to the body. Sorted out.

As far as the neck, i managed to get rid of the back bow from the 1st fret to the 11th. But now, I still have the front bow from the 17th to the 24th fret, and so those frets have some major buzzing and are muted notes .

How do i get rid of the front bow that is all the way down the neck?

I need your help

Thanks

Rami
