Nice bass!
I can tell you, since I'm working on a 'Jetglo' Grecobacker right now, that these Greco copies are SO much like a 'real' Rickenbacker, they even BREAK like one! I'm repairing the somewhat familiar headstock break/ fingerboard separation. Just like the real ones. It has one truss rod, in my opinion, better than a real Rickenbacker. I don't like those two thin, spindly Rick rods at all. Nothing but trouble. One decent, strong truss rod is all you need.
Since Ricks are way up there in price now, this is a good alternative, if the name on the headstock doesn't matter to you.

I bought it, but directly from Japan shop and not from ebay reseller.
In my opinion, this is a 1980 Greco PMB1000 Project Series natural, so the high end project series model from Greco.
I will post some more information as soon as I have received it.
I fully agree to LHBASSIST posts. These Greco Rics especially from the custom shop/project series are better made than original Rics at that time.

Some more information:
1980 Greco PMB1000 Project Series natural
-limited Greco high-end custom shop model (called Greco project series)
-one-piece maple body makes it the Top model PMB-1000
-List price Yen 100.000
-Maple Neck Through body
-exact lawsuit copy of Rickenbacker Paul McCartney 4001S model (neck thru body, matte natural finish, special horn design, no thumbrest, unfinished dot marked fretboard, no walnut stripe, reversed headstock, mono jack)

In late 1976 Greco announced the creation of a custom shop line of guitars that it called Project Series.
This was a decade before there were Gibson (1986) or Fender (1987) Custom Shops.
Greco's Order to make project series was a custom shop before there was a custom shop.
Project Series guitars were limited to certain models which were built to a higher standard than the normal catalog models and could also be customized.
Initially these guitars weren’t in any catalog, but later showed up as Project Series models above the rest of the product line.
Project Series came to an end with the introduction of the Super Real series in 1980, which built on the Project Series by offering more high end models, but also shifting to tying these models much more closely to the specifications and construction methods of vintage models.

Just received the Bass today, it's the PMB800 Project Series natural with laminated maple body.
Pristine craftsmen work!!!
It came with the original special project series case and inside a ‘silicon cloth’ protective bag
What a DEAL

Original Rickenbacker reissues 4001-C64 Stripped are priced over 7000 USD
