Orange Sparkle Sunburst. Never heard of that colour, but I love it!

I contacted the seller. One month from now he has a gig only 10 km from where I live which would save me the shipping costs. Tempting!

Are you definitely up for this bass Jeroen? I'm kind of tempted myself as I've been after one for a while. But you saw it first so it's up to you.

I've promised the seller to let him know tomorrow. I'd love to own a Stingray 5, I have played several and all of them were just great. And this one has a stunning colour and a beautiful neck. It just needs a different pickguard... I'm seriously tempted, the price is good, the condition of the bass looks perfect. I'll keep you posted, but I think I'm going after it.

Edit: right after posting this I read a new email from the seller. He just let me know cash payment on pickup in Euros is fine and offered me a great price. I could not turn it down, I took it. He's taking it off eBay. Sorry!

Congrats on the new bass Jeroen! If it sounds half as good as it looks, it will be a great bass to play!

Well, so far the auction has not been removed and instead the BIN was removed, and the starting bid raised to 900 pounds (the original BIN), despite promises of the seller to remove the auction. I hope it was just a mistake, I've emailed the seller to ask him. I really want that bass, it looks just amazing and all SR5's I've played were gorgeous, both in terms of tone and feel.

Hope you get that one sorted out mate. I got a lot of my music gear on eBay over the years (including a full Mackie PA and most of my studio gear), but don't use it these days after a couple of really bad experiences when I was trying to sell stuff for friends. Too many people there now who don't understand or don't care about the rules

Turned out OK. The seller couldn't find out quickly enough how to remove an auction, so instead he raised the reserve price up to a level where no bidder would ever go, and changed the starting bid. The listing has now ended, and the bass will be mine on October 24th :)
