Shoegaze bass tutorial

You know the band you were in has developed cult following when someone is teaching one of the basslines on YouTube a decade after after the song was released. I guess we can't blame him for not being left-handed :ugeek:

I didn't think it up (songwriter John Cep did), but otherwise yah. I was the bassist for Soundpool at the time. Here is the video:

That's pretty neat!

Sort of analogous: I used to do a lot of rock climbing. One day I was in a gear store looking through a new guidebook and admiring one of the pictures when my friend / climbing partner looked over my shoulder and said, "Hey, that's you!" I had met the photographer the day he took the picture and gave him permission to use it, but that was a year prior and I didn't think anything of it.

But having someone cover / teach your bass part is a way cooler tribute 8-)

Same feeling I'm sure. I have to admit that I never thought anyone would be teaching a bassline from one of my bands on Youtube!
