Lefty Englehardt Uprights

I saw these and nearly had a heart attack....even one lefty Engelhardt in stock is very rare, but two? I have the ES1, and although mine is heavily modified, I feel confident in speaking to the quality sound of the ES1. For that price, it's especially worth a look....

I always thought Engleheart's were made overseas. Nice to know they are a domestic product!

They're actually made in the old Kay factory in Illinois; the Engelhardt company is an offshoot of the Kay company. From what I understand, when Kay founder died, the company was sold to Engelhardt, and a few years later Kay was sold off but Engelhardt kept the bass and cello business. I'd be tickled pink if my Engelhardt were someday as desirable as the Kay basses are today!
