I will fall on top of fivebass52's sword after he's done with it and vote pearloid as well. I like the look of it with that particular finish.

Its pretty even so far as opinions go. Here is another pic of the bass in cream pearl posed with my new Traynor 115 combo. This amp is insanely light at 31 pounds. As much as I like the tort, I can't see myself changing the cream out any time soon.

Man, that looks classy! 8-) How do you like the Traynor? What model, and specs?

This is the new Small Block 115 ultra light combo. Its a 200 watt class"D" amp with a neo 15 driver and tweeter. Its extremely similar to the GK MB115 but actually about 5 pounds lighter and has a much better sounding tweeter. I was looking for a "grab and go" amp and this one really impressed me. They have just hit the stores so very little info on them. The prices are in line with the GK combos and the Traynor stuff is made in Canada. Fun little amp!

Crabby - very interested in the Traynor cabinet, but can't seem to find anyone selling them in the U.S. yet... what did you pay for it in CAD, and what does that translate to in US dollars?

007, that SR5 is gorgeous! I love the white pickup cover and the rosewood combo on that one just looked fantastic. Thanks for sharing.

fivebass52, I paid $499 Canadian for the Traynor. The 112 version is only $50 less and I loved how small it was but the 115 just made more sense as an amp that could be used in many applications. I can't imagine that they would not be available in the USA as many have bought the all tube YBA200 and other models over the years. These amps are so new however, that the store `i bought them from (Long & Mcquade) still don't have them on their website. From all accounts though, people are snapping them up as they really do sound great.

Crabby - I just don't think they've had the chance to cross the border yet! Sounds like a great little combo though, and although I prefer 12's, I would go with the 115 combo, because of the Gain/Master Control that the 10/12 combos don't have....

I hope you can find one to try out. Otherwise the GK is still a great 115 combo and very similar.
