Here's the sellers reply along with my initial e-mail from just a few minutes ago:
The buy it now price including shipping is $2,300 (delivered at your door) for every item . Transaction will be handled by eBay, so we can both be protected and able to exchange feedback after transaction is successfully closed! I will offer a 7 days inspection period for the item, so if by any reason you are not satisfied with it, you can return it against a full refund! If you do want the deal, just please email me your full name, full shipping address, eBay user ID and I will start the transaction through eBay. You will be after contacted by eBay with further instructions on how to safely complete this sale. I don`t accept pay pal for this large amount only Wire Transfer !
Thank you

I replied and asked the seller to provide me with a current photo of the bass. One that was taken within the past few days. I explained that I've seen this particular bass listed by different sellers on Ebay over the past 6 months or so with the exact same photos.
We'll see...............

The seller did send photos-the EXACT ones that were posted with all the other listings of this bass(the photos they sent were even date stamped 10/19/2012)-I wonder why I'm not surprised?!
I replied and thanked them and asked for photos taken within the last day or 2. I explained that surely they'd be able to post photos of an item that they currently have in their possesion.
This is getting good!!!!

no not good.... interesting.
if you look, there are thousands of hacked accounts out there daily. If you look at the same sellers other items, the do not bid picture only appears on the high end items.
typical hacker finding accounts hoping hoping that some dummy will contact him and make the mistake of giving him money.

If I were going to hack someone's account and try to steal money, I wouldn't list a product that appeals to so few people.

At least you got a response. I emailed the seller a couple of weeks ago and go no reply. It's amazing either this seller or others continue to try and sucker people in on this auction, and eBay isn't able to shut them down for good. I have to say this forum does a good job of policing eBay, and helps shut these con artists down. Good job guys....
