I must disagree with A-Tom. I do not think a Ray and a Ric are anywhere near the same sonic ballpark. To further the baseball analogy, not do I think they are in the same league 
Yes, they both can growl with roundwounds on them, but IME you gotta slam the Ric a lot harder to get it to growl. To my ears, the growls are both distinctive and quite different.
Other than that, I dont think either one resembles the other sonically.
