Ibanez MC924L-DS Musician Bass Left-Handed

Post by paulo »

This bass belonged to our board member Jeroen in the Netherlands for years then passed on to me I sold it on Reverb and looks like the buyer sold or traded it in.
Pretty good price for such rare bass. When I sold it still had the original case.

Agreed. I have to say, considering how rare these are, they seem to show up fairly often, however. (Sometimes at outrageous prices too, but this price is decent). I think I see these pop up more than ATK300s these days.

Paulo, what kind of shape was the neck in? I’m seriously considering this but wondering if the neck will need an overhaul? Tell me the good & bad points, if any. Thanks!

Hi Matt as far as I can remember I've had zero issues with this bass, Jeroen had no complaints either. Not mentioned in the listing but when I moved it, the original case was included as well.

Sorry I'm late to the party.
I've owned this bass for over 10 years and it's always been solid and dependable. Zero issues. Neck adjusts well, preamp was fully functional, and everything but the holes for the thumb rest is completely stock. I traded it with Paulo including its original case, which isn't in the pictures or description but should still be with the bass. I was only the second owner, the guy before me bought it new in Belgium in February 1981. The original receipt was still in the case, and I've always kept it with the bass (and shipped it along to Paulo). When I bought the bass it had been laying in its case in the attic for 11 years. It only needed new strings and a new battery.

Shoot me up here or on Facebook if you have any more questions!
