I didn't know a 5-string Pilot even existed for lefties.

Neither have I . I owned a 1980's 4 string with the non pointy headstock . Good bass lightweight poplar body Emg's & Schaller bridge Don't know if it's the angle of those pics but the neck looks disproportionately large compared to the smallish heavily contoured offset body.

Been a Pilot fan forever as well. The 4 bolt plate seemed really small as if they fitted some custom Pilot 5 neck to a 4 body however in comparing to a righty Pilot 5 body back, the same layout is visible.

Also the dual J's line up with how they did most Pilot 5's. Enormous neck but very cool bass. I think it's priced high. At least clean it up prior to photos GC !! Cripes !! What a mess !! :lol:
